Person-Centred counselling focuses on you as a person and your unique point of view on life, rather than offering you pre-canned solutions to your problems. I tailor the approach to your specific needs and place you at the centre of counselling.
In the therapy room I take an active part by attentively listening as we explore the challenges that you are facing and the changes that you wish to make. Unlike a friend or family member I am impartial and will listen to you without judgement or criticism.
Our exploration can help create understanding and you will begin to experience more balance, enthusiasm and a renewed energy for life.
I offer a complimentary 30 minute introductory session where we can meet. Once there, you can introduce me to your situation and I will explain more about counselling and how I work.
Following this discussion the next step is to decide whether you want to proceed with counselling. We then agree a regular time to meet each week for 50 minutes. I ask that you attend on a regular basis to build a relationship of trust and demonstrate commitment to the process. We also agree the financial arrangements for counselling.
